Since those days, Andres Corona has tried many different e-Commerce business models, looking for the ones that fit him the best and offered him the greatest chance for success. The road wasn’t without its bumpy moments, but they were inevitable. At the very least, they gave him a couple of valuable insights into the world of e-Commerce he’s more than willing to share.

Finding a good product might take some time. Finding a good product with a good supplier will probably take more time, and that investment is difficult to skirt.

“The only people who will succeed in this business are those who dedicate time to call the providers and get the best deals with wholesalers with the right brands and products,” says Andres Corona.

Automation and management services can relieve entrepreneurs of that burden. That’s why persistence is key. The process also has to apply to every other product, where consistency comes into play. The market isn’t the most forgiving place, and entrepreneurs will see much better results if they are consistent in their approach.

E-commerce is a highly dynamic field with many different opportunities opening all of the time. Whether it’s social selling, integrating commerce and content, or finding new ways to reach customers, any business that wants to stay in the game must innovate.

“This is not the type of business where you’re going to have overnight success,” Andres Corona explains. “It doesn’t happen like that, and when it does, it’s usually just because of luck, and it isn’t replicable. Still, e-Commerce rewards finding better models and practices as much as any other business does.”

Much like businesses and entrepreneurs need to be on the constant lookout for new products, they also have to, at the very least, monitor their competitors for some new and improved business practices. The business that doesn’t innovate falls behind.

Finally, Andres Corona would also advise e-Commerce entrepreneurs to enjoy their victories and choices to the fullest. Even though it’s highly competitive, e-Commerce can be rewarding in some unexpected ways.

“The biggest thing is the flexibility you have working from your laptop,” he says. “When you’re working on your computer, you can work from anywhere in the world. You can travel whenever and wherever you want. You’re able to spend more time with your family and friends. That’s something many people would want to have more of.”
