And Houston-based trainer Rischad Whitfield is helping Johnson, a free agent who is working out in the summer heat of Texas, make his case.
Whitfield on Wednesday posted a video on Twitter of Johnson working on his footwork, change-of-direction and receiving.

Johnson, a seven-time Pro Bowl selection, was cut by the Colts after the 2015 season, the first in a three-year, $21.3 million contract. He had been cut in March 2015 by the Texans.
In 13 seasons, Johnson (6-3, 229 pounds) has 1,053 catches for 14,100 yards (13.4 per catch) and 68 TDs. He is three seasons removed from a 109-catch, 1,407-yard season in Houston.
Of course, the key will be what kind of contract the 13-year veteran will be willing to accept to prove he belongs in the league.
